Four Japanese companies have invested in Joled, according to NHK.
Between automotive component manufacturer Denso; Toyota Tsusho, the trading arm of the Toyota Group; Sumitomo Chemical; and chip manufacturing equipment maker, Screen Holdings, Joled has received about $400 million.
The company is planning to invest the funds in its 5.5G printed OLED facility in Ishikawa, Japan, although the amount raised so far is only around half what will be needed to complete the facility.
