JIN Relocates Fitness Tracker to the Head

JIN, a Japanese company, has shown off a wearable health tracker with a difference – it is a pair of glasses. Like wrist-worn trackers, the Jins Meme glasses have an accelerometer and gyroscope. JIN says that, because they are worn on the head, they can gather a more precise reading of overall body movement. The glasses also have three-point electrooculography sensors on the nose pad, which measure blinks and eye movements to determine concentration and fatigue levels. Data is then sent to a smartphone app.
