iView, the pico-projection engine developer based in Shenzen, has raised around $14.7 million as part of its series B funding round, the lead investor being CMS Zhiyuan Capital.
iView was founded in 2006 and provides its projection engines to other companies that make projectors, projector phones, and HUD for automotive purposes. The funds raised will be primarily used for increasing industrial capacity and for research and development.
Customers have included Philips, Asus, Panasonic, SKT Korea Telecom, Motorola, Lenovo and others. The company supplies engines for the Moto Z series of modular mobile phones.
