Orbotech of Israel signed a co-operation agreement with Taiwan’s ITRI, to develop solutions for the production of flexible displays. As part of the agreement, ITRI will use Orbotech’s inspection technology to identify production bottlenecks in flexible AMOLED processes.
Janglin Chen, VP and general director of ITRI’s display technology centre, said, “We are confident that AMOLED will usher in the age of the foldable tablet PC and smartphones as well as wearable devices”.
