I got this chart from Paul Kedrosky’s great free daily graphs service. I dug down the source and that counted just three Electronic Technology IPOs so far this year. The article also looks at the disappearance of SPACs as ‘the bubble bursts’.
In talking to business people this year, a common complaint is that there does seem to be plenty of money around, but investors are being very risk-averse and are also setting tough conditions for loans. One exec I spoke to earlier this year, said that the notional value of his pre-earnings firm had fallen by a big factor since last year. (BR)
