iPhone 6 Boosts ODM’s Revenues

Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron both reported large increases in sales for September, rising 51% and 63% respectively from August, primarily due to shipments of Apple’s new iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

Foxconn’s sales of NT$415.4 billion ($13.6 billion) was 23% higher year on year and brought sales for the third quarter to NT$950.5 billion ($31.2 billion), growing 8.1% from Q2 and 3.5% year on year. Sales in the January to September period were 3.4% higher at NT$2.7 trillion ($88.7 billion).

Pegatron’s September sales reached just under NT$106 billion ($3.5 billion), taking sales in Q3 to NT$238.4 billion ($7.8 billion), up 13.2% sequentially but down 6.1% YoY. In the first nine months of 2014, Pegatron’s sales were also down YoY, falling 2.5% to NT$666.7 billion ($21.9 billion).
