Inventec Predicts Falling Annual Sales

Inventec has warned that its annual revenue might decline this year from last year’s NT$435.6 billion ($13.9 billion). The company said it expects to maintain its annual shipment target of 100 million units, but because of changes to its product portfolio, sales could drop year on year. Notebook shipments are predicted to decline, while shipments of lower-priced tablet products could grow significantly. The company expects to ship 25 million units of PC-related products this year, while smartphone and handheld devices could reach 70 million units.
