According to Akamai’s latest State of the Internet report, 15% of global IP addresses are now classified as ‘4k-ready’ (defined as 15Mbps speeds or higher) – almost triple that of the 5.3% in Q2. YoY, global adoption rate of 15Mbps connections rose 21%. Seven of the top 10 countries/regions saw increases, ranging from 8.9% in Latvia (31% adoption) to 73% in Norway (37%).
