CarUX, a subsidiary of display manufacturer Innolux, is unveiling several new automotive display products and technologies next week at CES 2024 in Las Vegas. The company says these displays are designed to enhance in-vehicle safety, entertainment, and aesthetics.
A key product is a 55-inch 8K display that features active privacy technology to prevent driver distraction. It allows front seat passengers to view entertainment content while obscuring the screen from the driver’s view. CarUX is also showcasing “InvisiView” technology that integrates displays into vehicle interior materials like wood and leather. When not in use, the screen is completely concealed, aiming to create a cleaner interior aesthetic.
Other products include a 12.3-inch display with driver and passenger identification that restricts certain features while driving, a rotatable display that adjusts between landscape and portrait modes, and a heads-up display that projects key information onto the windshield to allow drivers to keep their eyes on the road.
The displays utilize Innolux’s proprietary MicroLED and MiniLED technologies.
