Innolux and AUO reported their July results.
Innolux was down 2.3% on June in large panel volumes, while small/medium volumes were up 3.8%. Revenue was up 35.6% up on July 2020.
AUO was down 4.6% month on month in area terms (which is what it reports these days), but down just 1.7% in revenue terms. It was 45.6% up in revenue on last year.
Separately, TFTCentral ($) reported that Innolux will have some new high refresh panels:
- 34″ Flat 3440 x 1440 @165Hz and 98% of DCI-P3. Later there will be a 3800R curved version
- 27″ miniLED with 240Hz support and 99% of DCI-P3 and with DisplayHDR1000 support.
What We Think
AUO will be building up its resources to help with development of new technologies, especially miniLED and microLED. We’ll have an article next week on developments for Innolux. (BR)
