Innolux & AUO Continue to Suffer in Q3

Innolux and AUO released their monthly data and unsurprisingly, given the weak market conditions, the firms were both well down. 

Innolux said that its revenues were up 11.1% on August in September, to $533 million, down 42.4% on 2021. Large panel shipments were up 6.7% to 9.23 million and small/medium panels were up 5.7% monthly to 23.48 million. For the quarter, sales revenues were down 17.1% on Q2 in Q3.

AUO was also up monthly by 1.6% to $511 million, but down by 50.7% from last year. Over the quarter, AUO was down by 20.9% on Q2 and 49.8% year on year. The total panel area shipment reached around 1.24 million m² in September 2022, down by 6.7% month-over-month. In the Q3 of 2022, the total panel area shipment were around 3.88 million m², down by 21.2% quarter-over-quarter and decreased by 39.9% year-over-year.
