Innolux senior VP Ting Chin-lung has announced that the company will commercialise its active matrix-based mini-LED products by the end of 2018. The announcement comes after the firm showcased its 10.1″ AM mini-LED panels at this year’s CES trade show. Several car makers have since approached the company to jointly develop the technology for automotive use.
Ting stated that the company will announce related applications for the technology in June, with finished products released before the end of the year. Innolux recently announced that it plans to automate a vast proportion of its production processes by the end of 2018. (Innolux Announces Manufacturing Automation Plans and Job Cuts)
