Iiyama Takes Down LFD Cost

Iiyama has developed new large-format Prolite displays with integrated media players. Intended to be affordable, they can play media directly from a USB stick or from a network.

The four displays are the LE3240S-B1 (32″), LE4340S-B1 (43″), LE4840S-B1 (48″) and LE5540S-B1 (55″). They are designed as kiosk and information displays, for public signage as well as use in industry, retail and education.

All displays are fanless, with LED backlights and 1920 x 1080 resolution. They also share 350 cd/m² of brightness, an 8ms response time and 178° viewing angles. Each screen can be operated 12 hours a day.

The 32″ and 55″ models use IPS panels, while the 43″ and 48″ units use VA technology. This means that contrast ratios are different: 1,400:1 on the 32″, 3,000:1 on the 43″, 4,000:1 on the 48″ and 1,200:1 on the 55″.

HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, RCA, RS232, USB 2.0 and RJ45 inputs are featured, as well as two 10W speakers.

Iiyama is selling the displays now, for €405 (32″), €585 (43″), €670 (48″) and €1,050 (55″), ex VAT.
