IHS has a new report available on OLED materials. At the moment, the market is dominated by Samsung Display’s purchases, but will be overtaken by LG Display from 2016. Chinese makers are also expected to start to have an influence from the end of this year, or early next.
Materials covered include light-emissive layer materials: Red, green, blue, yellow-green (YG) materials, common layer materials: HTL, ETL, EIL/ETL, and CPL materials and functional aid materials: Dopant, CGL, aETL, and prime layer materials.
The AMOLED light-emitting materials market is forecast to reach about $260 million in the first half of 2015 and $660 million in 2015 in value. The materials market is predicted to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 37% in value and 42% in units from 2014 to 2019.
