The Yonhap news reports that LG Chem and Idemitsu Kosan of Japan have signed a deal to share patents on OLED materials.
Analyst Comment
According to IHS, Idemitsu has been a supplier to Samsung of blue host and dopant materials to Samsung (50%) and LG Display (40%) as well as some Chinese makers. However, the company said that Idemitsu would face challenges in 2017.
