Huawei Has Android Concerns

Richard Yu, the head of Huawei’s consumer business group, is concerned about the lack of OS choice for mobile device makers. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Yu said, “We feel Tizen has no chance to be successful”. He revealed that Huawei had a team researching the OS, but he cancelled the work. It has also been difficult to persuade customers to buy Windows Phone handsets; making Windows smartphones was not profitable. “We have worries about Android being the only option”, he said, “but we have no choice”.
