HTC Donates Over 100 Vive Headsets for Library Learning Program in the United States

Through a partnership with HTC Vive and state libraries in California and Nevada, USA, visitors can explore and learn in new ways with VR systems, which have been donated to a hundred public libraries throughout California and will arrive in 11 public libraries across Nevada next month.

Vive Library programme content is powered by Viveport and includes access to a curated list of 35 free educational content experiences spanning geography, arts and culture, science, history, design and wellness. The content catalogue will continue to expand in the weeks and months ahead, the company says.

According to HTC, these libraries represent a select group of emerging technology early adopters serving under-served populations who have demonstrated a need and have developed well-conceived ideas for incorporating VR into their library programs.
