Next up are the Pro Tablet 408 G1 and HP Elite X2 1011 G1; the first of these is intended to be an affordable tablet to boost users’ productivity, while the second is a convertible.
Running Windows 8.1 Pro on a 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU (2GB of RAM), the 408 G1 has an 8″ screen with an IPS panel and 1280 x 800 resolution. Business features include micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports; a Trusted Platform Module; WiDi; and up to 64GB of storage. It is available now, for $300.
HP’s Elite X2 1011 G1 is the flagship of the business range. An 11.6″ convertible with Windows 8.1 Pro, the device’s durability has been tested to military specifications (MIL-STD 810G) and uses a 1.2GHz Broadwell (Core-M) processor with 4GB/8GB of RAM and between 128GB and 512GB of storage.
The tablet’s display is 11.6″, with 1366 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 resolution; both screens use IPS panels. The keyboard has DisplayPort and USB 3.0 (x2, one with charge) inputs. WiGig is also supported, enabling the tablet to connect to HP’s wireless expansion dock.
