HP has introduced new ZBooks in the Z by HP range, designed for content creators and designers. There are four new models (The HP ZBook Studio, HP ZBook Studio x360, HP ZBook G5 15 and HP ZBook G5 17) built around processors up to the new six-core Intel Core i9 processors and memory up to 32GB (expandable to 128GB). The ZBook Studio and ZBook Studio x360 have boosted graphics with the Nvidia Quadro P2000 graphics cards, although a wide range of Nvidia and AMD graphics solutions are available.
The Studio x360 has an optional anti-glare touchscreen with ‘the latest generation’ Gorilla Glass. The ZBook 15. x360 and Studio Pro (15.6″) have HP DreamColor displays with 100% AdobeRGB support and 600 cd/m² of output (which, HP pointed out, is 20% brighter than a MacBook Pro and 50% more than a Dell XPS UltraSharp UltraHD display).
The ZBook Studio x360 has five display options at 15.6″.
- FullHD 650 cd/m² with Gorilla Glass and touch
- DreamColor UltraHD 600 cd/m² with or without Gorilla Glass and touch
- FullHD 400 cd/m²
- UltraHD 400 cd/m² with Gorilla Glass and touch
The ZBook G5 15 has six different 15.6″ IPS display options:
- FullHD 220 cd/m²
- UltraHD 400 cd/m² with or without Gorilla Glass and touch
- FullHD 400 cd/m²
- FullHD 650 cd/m² with Gorilla Glass and privacy screen
- DreamColour UltraHD 600 cd/m²
The ZBook G5 15 has dual thunderbolt connections.
The ZBook 17 has three 17.3″ display options up to a DreamColor unit with UltraHD at 400cd/m², but also with 1920 x 1080 and 300 cd/m² or 1600 x 900 and 220 cd/m² Ports include HDMI, Thunderbolt 3 and mini-DisplayPort.
The ZBook Studio G5 workstation has four 15.6″ IPS display options:
- DreamColor UltraHD 600 cd/m²
- UltraHD 600 cd/m²
- FullHD 400 cd/m²
- FullHD 650 cd/m² with Gorilla Glass and privacy screen
The new range includes an ambient light sensor to adjust the display automatically.
The units are all available now and all start from $1349, except the Studio x360 which starts at $1,499.
