Hisense Moving Into Mass Production on 150 Inch Laser TV

Laser TV technology operates differently from traditional flat-panel displays. It uses mirrors and Ultra-short Throw (UST) projection to reflect images onto a screen, similar to the mechanism employed in movie theaters. This allows for a more flexible viewing experience, with the capacity to project varying screen sizes depending on the environment. In contrast to standard TVs, Laser TVs offer the advantage of adjustable screen dimensions, a feature that caters to different viewing needs.

Laser TVs have seen a rise in demand, particularly in China, where the market dominates over 70% of global sales. Hisense holds over half of the market share, a dominant position that could expand with its continued innovation in large-screen display technology. So, it comes as no surprise to hear that the company is venturing into new territory with a new Laser TV offering.

Hisense unveiled a 150-inch Laser TV, at the 2024 Laser Display Technology and Industry Development Conference held in Qingdao, China. During the event, Hisense announced that mass production of its 150-inch model would soon begin. Typically, screen sizes for Laser TVs max out at about 120-inches.
