High-Res and Weatherproofing at ISE

A successor model to Panasonic’s (1.P20) PT-DZ21K (Display Monitor Vol 19 No 6) will be on show. Additionally, the company will demonstrate laser projectors and an UltraHD model using a new ‘quadrupling’ technology (this may be similar to JVC’s e-Shift, but that’s only a theory! – TA). Additionally, visitors to the stand will see Panasonic’s new remote monitoring system for professional displays and projectors.

The Xtreme fully-sealed outdoor display will be demonstrated by Peerless-AV (11.H70). An example of the unit, in a triple outdoor menu board configuration, will be placed outside the Holland entrance of the convention centre. The unit is IP68-compliant; it can withstand pressure washing from any angle and can still operate while submerged in 1m of water for up to eight hours. Although able to operate in direct sunlight (-40 deg to 60 deg ), the display is ventless; heat is regulated by internal air circulation and a heat sink.

Sharp (11.E76) will unveil a 70″, UltraHD monitor called the PN-H701, along with a 55″ videowall display with ‘cutting edge’ colour calibration technology (PN-V551). The videowall display has its hardware factory-calibrated and features a 3.5mm bezel. Additionally, Sharp will showing its PN-Y display series (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 27) and second-generation Big Pad (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 7).
