High Efficiency Green Perovskite LEDs Developed

What They Say

Penn State University said that a wide range of universities around the world, along with KAIST have developed a theory to develop green perovskite LEDs. Work on validating the theory showed very good correlation with the experimental results. A paper describing the results was published in Nature Photonics, The LEDs have a current efficiency of 108?cd?A?1 (external quantum efficiency of 23.4%), which rises to 205?cd?A?1 (external quantum efficiency of 45.5%) with a hemispherical lens.

What We Think

I mentioned the group from Seoul National University a few weeks ago (More Developments in Korean Perovskites) and was in touch with them over the research in Advanced Materials. At the time, Tae-Won Lee told us that there would be a new paper soon. This is it and again we are planning a Display Daily. (BR)
