What They Say
Apple held its ‘traditional’ September event to release new products, but didn’t announce any new iPhones, apparently because of Covid-related development and supply chain delays.
It announced a new Apple Watch, Series 6 at $399, a lower cost Watch SE at $279 and a Fitness subscription plan.
iPad’s got a refresh with a new iPad Air with a 10.9″ 2360 x 1640 display and now supporting USB Type-C. There’s a new camera and an A14 Bionic AP.
Apple One is a new subscription plan for music, TV and games as well as iCloud storage. There were updates for iOS to 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 14 and tvOS14 for Apple TV boxes.
What We Think
This was interesting but didn’t really describe anything revolutionary. The iWatch is beginning to have a real impact on the high end watch market (but I still don’t want one!). We’ll have to wait a bit longer for new iPhones. (BR)
