HannStar Display to Boost Capex in 2018

HannStar Display has planned to increase its capital expenditure to between NT$3 billion and NT$4 billion ($102.3 million to $136.4 million) from the NT$1.9 billion ($64.8 million) it spent in 2017. Digitimes revealed the figures earlier this week, citing company sources, who went on to say that the extra funds will be used to upgrade the company’s facilities and improve its product mix, incorporating HD+ (900p), Full HD and other resolutions. Planned upgrades to the company’s facilities are underway and expected to conclude next month.
