HannStar Display Corporation announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018 with net revenues of NT$4.44 billion ($149 million), a decrease of 28.8%, compared to NT$6.24 billion ($209 million) in Q1 2017. Net profit for Q1 2018 was NT$873 million ($29.2 million), a decrease of 52.3%, compared to the NT$1.82 billion ($61.23 million) billion in Q1 2017.
In Q1 2018, shipments of small & medium-sized panel totalled 109 million pieces, down by 6.84% compared to the same period in last year whereas shipment of large-sized panel and Hannspree products reached 600,000 pieces and 100,000 sets respectively.
The company said that panels larger than 11″ and mid sized panel 10.1″ accounted for 14% and 25% of sales respectively while smaller displays dominated with 61% of total product sales.
