Handy AV Chooses BrightSign and Iiyama for Interactive Holiday Store

Handy AV recently deployed solutions from BrightSign and Iiyama for the UK’s first interactive holiday store for Cruise 1st in Manchester, United Kingdom. The interactive store and office space was opened in January at the newly redeveloped Lowry Outlet Mall and offers customers a space in which to select their next cruise holiday. Visitors can view, configure and purchase holidays on one of twelve 22″ Iiyama touchscreen terminals.

Video content is used throughout the store to create a visually appealing, interactive experience for customers including live TV content from Cruise 1st’s own Sky TV channel. A 46″ 2 x 2 Iiyama video wall is hung using B-Tech’s System X mounts with content delivered by BrightSign players via a Datapath Fx4 display wall controller.

In-window display signage uses Iiyama screens mounted with B-Tech floor-to-ceiling mounts. BrightSign XT243 media players provide an Ultra HD H.265 video engine capable of dual-video decoding and frame-accurate video wall synchronisation. Cruise 1st is planning to further enhance the store’s window signage later this year, with Handy AV developing a bespoke solution for this.
