Google Offers Cash for OLEDs

According to Electronics Times, Google has offered to invest at least $880 million (KRW 1 trillion) in LG Display in order to boost the output of smartphone OLED screens.

Google offered the investment to secure supplies of flexible OLED screens for its next Pixel smartphones.

Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones also use the bendable displays, while Apple is also expected to start using them in new versions of its iPhone smartphones.
