Landline phone maker Gigaset has announced plans to enter the smartphone market. It hopes to compete with Samsung and Apple on high-end units. An Android smartphone range will be launched in multiple global markets, with an official launch at IFA 2015 in September. Details have leaked about one of the devices, the ‘Sloan L’. It will be a 4.7″ phone (1920 x 1080), with a quad-core 1.9GHz Snapdragon 810 CPU and 3GB of RAM.
