Taiwan’s Giantplus Technology, an LCD panel maker, has said that it expects a 30%-40% increase in revenues from the automotive segment this year. The firm will produce 25 models of automotive display panels in 2016, said president Pu Chia-chuan. Experimental lines for new products have been moved from a G3 to a G4 fab acquired from CPT; the G3 plant is now being used for regular production.
