Premium TV company Loewe, now closely allied with China’s Hisense, has produced its first OLED set: the Bild 7 (due to its 7mm thickness). It is part of a new range called VantaVision.
Loewe will officially the TV in September (probably at IFA). All that it has announced to date is the size (55″ and 65″) and price (€4,040 and €5,660, ex VAT).
Another German firm, Metz (owned by China’s Skyworth), has also announced OLED TVs to be launched at IFA. Speaking at the IFA Innovations Media Briefing, the company said that its new TVs will be produced in 55″ and 65″ sizes. They will be launched in September, with UltraHD resolution, HDR and 10-bit colour.
Metz’s TVs will be called ‘Metz Novum Twin-R’ and will feature an integrated 1TB HDD. They will cost €4,050 (55″) and €5,670 (65″), ex VAT.
