Gary’s Book Club Takes Tech Topics Off the Page and On To the Stage at CES® 2017

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM today announced its call for author proposals to join Gary’s Book Club, presented by Barnes & Noble, at CES® 2017. This featured on-site event showcases the works of prominent authors in the tech industry exploring technology’s broad and evolving impact on the global society.

CES attendees will again have the opportunity to purchase books and meet the authors during book signings on-site. CES 2017, the global stage for innovation, returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, Thursday, January 5-Sunday, January 8, 2017.

To be eligible for Gary’s Book Club, books must be published between January 2016 and January 2017 and should cover technology, innovation, tech policy or innovation policy. There is no charge for authors to participate in the program.

“Our book club is a unique opportunity for CES attendees to hear from and interact with experts in the tech industry as they discuss their work and explore the products and themes we’re experiencing first hand on the show floor,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association and best-selling author of CTA’s Ninja Innovation: The Ten Killer Strategies of the World’s Most Successful Businesses and The Comeback: How Innovation will Restore the American Dream. “With CES celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2017, we look forward to hearing from authors who are exploring where technology has been and where it is going.”

In addition to joining the CTA Stage lineup, authors also have the opportunity to enhance their online presence on CES social media platforms. Amy Wilkinson, author of The Creator’s Code: The Six Essential Skills of Extraordinary Entrepreneurs, joined the #CES2016 conversation on Twitter by highlighting her onstage experience through her personal Twitter handle.
