Garmin has introduced a new fitness tracker and notification display called the Vivosmart. It is a wrist-worn device with a 1.4″ curved passive OLED from Futaba, with 128 x 16 resolution (the same as Huawei’s Talkband B1 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 25)). Linking to an iOS or Android smartphone via Bluetooth LE, the band is waterproof to 50m. It is available now for $170.
