Foxconn Plans Three More Lines on Wisconsin LCD Campus

Foxconn is to build three ancillary facilities in Wisconsin, USA, on a campus where a $10 billion LCD factory is due for completion in 2020. The company will add a back-end packaging line, a precision moulding line and an end-device assembly line, an investment of a further $1 billion. It also said that it could start importing glass from the Far East. The investments are expected to create 13,000 jobs, but approval is required from the state joint finance committee and senate before being passed by the governor. The final decision is slated for September.
