Force Touch Coming to iPhone, Claims WSJ

According to the Wall Street Journal, the ‘Force Touch’ technology on the new Apple Watch and Macbook will also make an appearance on the next iPhone. Force Touch can distinguish between the pressure of a touch, so – for example – a hard press could activate a different response compared to a light tap.

Analyst Comment

Like all touch, force-sensitive touch needs the right applications that really exploit the pressure. When we spoke to Flat Frog, which has pressure sensitivity, at ISE, we heard that there are few apps at the moment that exploit this feature. (BR)
