Exterion Media believes it has become the largest UK supplier for outdoor advertising. Starting next month, the company will hold new advertising rights in the Glasgow public transport system. Following an invitation to tender, Exterion Media won a new advertising contract for five years. It replaces the Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) in Glasgow. Primesight previously marketed the media in the city for 25 years.
Exterion Media now reaches 47 million people every week with advertising media in the UK. The company advertises in buses, on metros and railways, and is now said to be the largest external transport media operator in the UK. Exterion Media will be responsible for advertising in all four of the British underground networks of: Newcastle, Liverpool, London and Glasgow. In London, the company has a contract with Transport for London (TFL) to market on the Tube, which generates €165 million a year. The firm gets 45% of the revenue, with TFL taking the balance.
