Even Babies Need a Better Display

If you ever despair about product development opportunities in the display industry remember that there are generations being born today that can be nurtured for consumption of high quality of displays at some future date.

Jartoo has announced its latest 2K Video Baby Monitor, equipped with advanced features that focus on providing parents with improved monitoring capabilities both day and night. Central to this new monitor is its Ultra HD 2K camera, which offers four times the resolution of standard baby monitors. More importantly, it comes coupled with a 5.5″ IPS display. If this takes off, generations of future display buyers will have been raised by parents extolling the virtues of better resolutions, brighter colors, blacker blacks, and all that good display tech stuff.

Jartoo’s Product Manager, Larry (like Cher, but Larry, I kid you not), notes, “Our goal with this monitor was to redefine what parents can expect from baby monitoring technology. With the 2K camera and 5.5-inch screen, we set a new standard for image quality in baby monitors.”

The monitor includes infrared technology for nighttime monitoring. Invisible infrared LEDs provide clear night vision images without bright lights that could disturb the baby’s sleep. This feature allows parents to maintain visual monitoring during nighttime hours, capturing details without compromising the baby’s rest, according to the manufacturer.

The monitor also incorporates AI-powered cry detection technology because what system is complete today without something AI-powered. In this instance, the systm is designed to accurately distinguish between a baby’s cries and other household noises, reducing false alarms. I am sold on this product and I don’t even have a baby.
