Even a Binned Apple-1 Fetches Thousands

This is a tale of highs and lows. A woman in the USA recently took several boxes of her departed husband’s possessions along to a recycling centre in California. Unknown to her, one of the boxes contained an Apple 1 computer – one of only 200 ever made. The company running the tip, CleanBayArea, went on to sell the computer to a private collector for $200,000, and wants to split the money with the original owner – if she can be found. However, the mystery woman, thought to be in her 60s, left no contact details. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that she finds out about the unexpected pay-day!
