The French signage market is the third-largest in Europe. The March/April survey was the third ever DBCI poll in the country, with sentiment rising slightly from 58.99 to 59.65.
A majority of stakeholders – 98% – see the market as positive. Although expectations for a more favourable situation over the next six months were down slightly (from 73.8% to 70.2%), the shortfall was made up by more people expecting no change – there were no respondents expecting the market to decline.
OVAB expects the French market to see a growing proportion of premium displays, such as high-brightness/sunlight readable and UltraHD. Prices for these units have been eroded by roughly 20% YoY; however, cost is still high enough to limit growth. Market share of high-brightness units will be about 15% in the near future, and UltraHD could rise 10%.
