Vivendi has been developing a European version of Netflix, but according to the French paper, Liberation, the project has had its meetings suspended. The project was originally planned to exploit content from Canalplay in France, Whatchever in France, Mediaset from Italy and Telefónica of Spain. However there have been changes in some of those services and agreements. The paper later said that the project is still due to launch in the spring.
