Andy Rubin, one of the founders of Android (and who lead the project for eight years), is building a phone called “The Essential Phone”. We spotted an early brief review of the phone that said that it’s
- very good looking with a titanium and ceramic case
- a very thin bezel on three sides and a cutout on the display for the front camera
- a special pair of pins that allow the connection of add ons and accessories
- there is no 3.5mm jack
- dual cameras – one colour, one monochrome
Other details including the specification of the display were in our earlier article. (Rubin Shows Phone and Assistant with Circular Display)
