One new projector was on show from Epson: the EB-U32, which will be shipped on the 1st October for £600 ($920) ex VAT.
Designed for both home and office use, the EB-U32 is a 3LCD projector with wireless connectivity through built-in WiFi. A low TCO was one of the design criteria, and so the projector features a 200W lamp, with a life up to 10,000 hours, as well as a long filter maintenance cycle.
Resolution is 1920 x 1200 and brightness is 3,200 lumens. A 30″ – 300″ image can be projected from 1.8m – 2.17m (1.38 – 1.68:1 throw ratio). The unit has a 1.2x optical zoom, manual focus and +/-30° automatic vertical and manual horizontal keystone correction.
MHL-HDMI, HDMI, VGA, composite, USB 2.0 and USB-B ports are featured.
Epson also had the EB-G6970WU, another 1920 x 1200 projector that is available now. It is a professional model, with HDBaseT and HD-SDI connectivity and supporting edge-blending and warping.
