PMA Research has announced the top-selling projectors in the USA in December. The company divides the results into three categories: ‘pico and personal’, ‘mainstream’ and ‘4,000+ lumen’.
PMA’s top five list of 4,000+ lumen projectors comes from North American dealers and integrators. Sony led with its VPL-FHZ55/W, while Optoma took second and fourth spots with the EH501 and X402, respectively. NEC’s NP-P401W came third and Epson’s Powerlite 1980WU was fifth.
The list of mainstream projectors is devised from data collected from North American AV and IT distributors. InFocus’ IN112x and IN114x occupied the top spots. Epson filled out the remaining three, with the Powerlite 520, 97H and X27.
Finally, PMA’s pico and personal category uses data from North American retailers and web resellers. AAXA led the section with its LED Pico and P300 Pico. Asus followed with the S1 in third, and LG with the Pv150G and PF1500 in fourth and fifth.
