Epson US has announced the PowerLite 975W projector – Epson’s first classroom projector to offer up to a 10,000-hour lamp life in Bright Mode1. The unit features 3,600 lumens of color brightness and 1280 x 800 resolution with 15,000:1 contrast. Features include support for Miracast and Epson’s iProjection4 wireless display solution, including the display of content from Chromebooks, PCs and Mac computers, as well as iOS and Android devices.
There are dual HDMI ports with MHL support as well as VGA and composite video. There is a VGA monitor out port. The lens has a 1.6:1 zoom ratio and the lamp is rated at 250W. The Throw ratio is 1.38 to 2.23 for images from 29″ – 280″ (6.85 – 8.45 m). Fan noise is rated at 29db and audio is mono with 16W.
The projector is listing at $1,299.
