Emotn launched the C1 projector based on an LCD display and with LED illumination. The unit is small at 225 x 186 x 109 and weighs 1.67kg. The resolution is 1280 x 720 and contrast is quoted at 5,500:1. The output is 130 ANSI lumens and the unit runs linux and there are connections of VGA, HDMI (2) and USB (2). There is a slot in the top of the unit which is for sale at just $179.
What We Think
Bizarrely, the press release and the specification for this unit claim that it produces 8,500 lumens! I wonder if that is the light output of the LEDs before the LCD(s) are involved? The specification doesn’t claim three LCDs so I wonder if this device uses a single LCD like early business projectors based on LCD and before the development of small polysilicon LCDs? (BR)
