Elo has unveiled a new 55″ interactive display for digital signage. The 5501LT uses IR technology to deliver 10 touch points, and features a low profile for easy integration. It is 87mm thick, and complies with the ADA.
Automatic switching between active input sources is built in to the unit, to ease its use in meeting rooms. The screen is an LED-backlit type with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Three PC modules can be integrated into the display, all based on a 4th-gen Intel Core processor: ECMG2B-i3, with HD4400 graphics, and ECMG2B-i5/ECMG2B-i7 with HD4600 graphics.
Elo showed the 5501LT at NRF 2016, and will share more information later.
Also at NRF, Elo showed an Android computer module for large-format touch displays. The ARM-based device can be used with 32″ – 70″ screens. It provides a secure solution for content delivery and device management. Location-based services can be enabled with iBeacon technology, and the module is compatible with the EloView cloud-based management software.
