Eizo Reaches New Maritime Size

Eizo’s new Duravision DV4624 is a 46″ maritime monitor, growing the range to a new size class. Like other Duravision models, the monitor is suitable for use in harsh environments; it complies with temperature, humidity and vibration conditions defined in the IEC 60945 standard, and is also IP55-compliant (IP20 rear). A metal enclosure protects the display.

Each monitor is colour calibrated at Eizo’s factory, to meet the requirements of ECDIS systems. Additionally, the unit can be hardware calibrated using the (optional) EACAl-R01 luminance meter, to calibrate backlight brightness, colour and white point. A picture-in-picture mode is also supported.

A VA panel provides a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 6.5ms (grey-to-grey) response time and 178° viewing angles. Brightness is adjustable between 1 cd/m² and 700 cd/m², and resolution is 1920 x 1080. The monitor displays 10-bit colour and features DVI-I, DVI-D, VGA, component, USB, RJ45 and RS232 ports.

Eizo is selling the DV4624 now; availability varies by country.
