Eizo Dims to 10 cd/m² For ATC Use

With a wide dimming range of 10 cd/m² to 650 cd/m², Eizo’s new Raptor monitors are designed for air traffic control (ATC) applications. The low and high brightness levels especially suit the monitors’ use in ATC towers, where lighting conditions can vary greatly.

Both the 21.3″ RP2124 and 23″ RP2324 feature Eizo’s automated stability function. Using an internal sensor, brightness level is stabilised throughout the life of the monitor. The sensor can compensate from brightness fluctuations caused by changes in temperature and age. The RP2124 also features a flicker-free backlight.

Various mounting options, such as panel or VESA mounts, are available with the monitors. An analogue resistive touch panel can be installed. Both models use a stainless steel housing, anti-glare glass and have a two-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The RP2124 has an IPS panel, with 1600 x 1200 resolution, a 1,400:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angles and a 20ms response time. Two DVI-I ports are featured.

A TN panel is used on the RP2324. This provides 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 170°/160° viewing angles and a 3ms response time. HDMI, DVI-I, VGA and composite ports are featured.

Both of Eizo’s new Raptor monitors are on sale now. Price is on application.
