What They Say
The Protocol newsletter wrote an interesting article about the motion features that are in the Echo Show 10 smart speaker from Amazon. Amazon said that it worked back from a desire of users to have the display facing them wherever they were in a room. The firm has given developers access to the function. It also has other movements.
For instance, if you profess your love to Alexa, the Echo Show 10 does a little happy dance, with the display bobbing back and forth.
What We Think
Like the bendable TV from Skyworth, I wonder about the cost/reliability issues with adding this kind of function, although if I had a smart speaker in my kitchen, which is relatively long and narrow, I’m sure I’d like the feature if reading a recipe. (BR)
