E Ink Holdings said that it has agreed an alliance with Japan Display Inc (JDI) to develop in the ePaper business. JDI is a leader in automotive and mobile phone displays and the companies will work to use JDI’s LTPS and Pixel Eyes in-cell touch to develop new markets including automotive, dynamic computer keyboards, display cards, education, IOT displays, and many more.

At the Electronica show this week, a new memory in pixel reflective display from JDI was being shown. We’ll have more in next week’s report, but it highlights the interest that JDI has in low power and reflective display technology.
