Chris Chinnock of Insight Media (and sometime Display Daily contributor) has written a white paper on the development of ‘dynamic pixel tuning’ developed by Porotech and which enables R,G and B pixels to be created using a single epitaxy process, controlling the colour by the current density (and the luminance by PWM).

What We Think
The Porotech technology was shown at Display Week and does seem to be potentially disruptive. If you haven’t looked at the firm’s technology (and we have referenced the firm 23 times over the last couple of years – try the search on the front page), it’s worth a read of the white paper. (BR)
